A NOTE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

To our wonderful audience,

I am honored to welcome you to Monteverdi Chorale’s 38th season, one filled with joy, celebration, and inspiring performances!

This is my third season as Monteverdi’s Artistic Director, and I could not be more excited. We will start our season with a Fall Concert called “In Remembrance.” This special concert will be a heartfelt tribute to those who have sung or participated in the Monteverdi Chorale and have passed away, honoring their memories and families. For our Holiday Concert, we will have the inspiring English oratorio Messiah by G.F. Handel performed at St. Stephen’s Church in Stevens Point with Monteverdi’s choir, orchestra, and soloists. Our annual fundraiser, Midwinter Cabaret, is a celebration and joy for our singers and audience — fabulous music, delicious food, and delightful drinks. Our newest choral addition, the Monteverdi Chamber Chorale, will perform a solo concert at Holy Spirit Church in Stevens Point called “Passion and Resurrection.” With works of Victoria, Schütz, Purcell, and Bach.

We conclude our 38th season with a concert entitled “Songs of Joy and Celebration!” with thoughtful music and inspiring texts that will encourage us to find peace.

We look forward to continuing to engage with our Central Wisconsin communities and hope to see your bright, smiling faces and hear your beautiful voices in the audience this season!

Sincerely,

Matheus Cruz
